For the third year Harrah’s North Kansas City and The National Golf Club of Kansas City will play host to the Fishnet Security Kansas City Pro Am and Celebrity Gala, scheduled for October 14th & 15th. In many ways this year’s festivities will be similar to the Garth Brooks event held previously, but with two very significant changes. The biggest change and addition to this year’s event will be Kevin Costner and his band Modern West. Costner will not only play in the tournament on Monday but he will also hold a “meet and greet” with select event sponsors and VIP’s as well as provide the musical entertainment Sunday evening. |

| In addition to Kevin Costner several PGA Professionals will also be participating in this year’s golf outing. PGA Pro’s scheduled to appear include Rory Sabbatini, Rod Pampling, JB Holmes and Chris Riley, 2003 PGA Championship winner Shaun Micheel and Ryder Cup member Brett Wetterich. To date, based on the support of local Kansas City businesses and individuals the Fishnet Security Kansas City Pro Am and Celebrity Gala have raised in excess of $1 million dollars. This year, for the first time, all the money will stay in Kansas City and specifically benefit several local groups including: The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Dream Factory, Children’s Center of the Visually Impaired, The National MS Society, and the Good Samaritan Project.
