FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 18, 2006
PREMIER SPORTS SIGNS NEW THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH (Overland Park, KS) -- Premier Sports Management and the Dallas All Sports Association announced today the signing of a new three-year agreement that extends the relationship for DASA’s annual awards event. The deal puts Premier Sports in charge of the 2006, 2007 and 2008 event in Dallas. The Dallas All Sports Association was founded in 1965 by Field Scovell – a well known and much accomplished Dallas businessman – as a philanthropic organization to award scholarship grants to deserving individuals and groups in Texas. Today, the organization is comprised of many prominent business executives and civic leaders in the region. The staple event is DASA’s All-Sports Awards Banquet, a first-class event that honors the outstanding achievements by sports athletes and coaches on both the local and national level. A “Who’s Who” list of sports celebrities, along with a packed room of distinguished business and civic personalities, make this awards dinner one of the most prestigious annual events in Dallas. The event includes numerous awards to local and regional sports figures, including MVP honors for each pro sports franchise, and then concludes with two national awards – the Lamar Hunt Award and the Pat Summerall Award. "Premier Sports' professionalism, event design and scripting to the minute, has brought the Dallas All Sports Association annual awards event to a newlevel,” said Bob Melton, Executive Director of DASA. “With their help, we have cut the event's length and brought much more glitz and glamour. Our partnership with them has been beneficial at every level." Dallas/Ft. Worth is widely recognized as one of the top major league sports cities in America. It’s heritage of greatness includes some of the most heralded teams, athletes and coaches in the history of sport. DASA plays a large role in the ongoing success and celebration of the area’s sports achievements, both amateur and professional. “We are thrilled to continue our association with DASA and help their great organization be successful with this tradition-rich event,” said Gary Heise, President of Premier Sports Management. “We take great pride in the value we bring to sports awards events. The Dallas area is a wonderful sports region with passionate fans and it’s a pleasure to produce a first-class event that pays tribute to great achievements both locally and nationally.”
