Premier developed a program for the NBA D-League that tapped into the loyalty that basketball fans have with players from their favorite college team. Student bloggers were chosen from universities across the country, who then reported on player alums from their school that were playing in the NBA D-League. The program offered an opportunity for journalism and communications students to get real-time experience and for fans to stay connected to players from their favorite college team who were playing in the D-League.
